Customer Testimonials Should Build Trust—Not Create More Work

You already know testimonials are one of the most valuable assets your sales and marketing teams have. The problem isn’t convincing your organization to invest in them. The problem is everything that happens between “yes, we want a testimonial” and a finished video your team can actually use.

Most teams are stuck between three bad options:

Your customers are busy. Your budget has limits. And none of those options respect both.

There’s a fourth option, and it’s the one your customers will actually thank you for.

The Average FireCam Customer Saves $5,500+ Per Story

A traditional crewed video shoot — travel, crew, equipment, location, post-production — runs $15,000 to $25,000 per testimonial. Even working with a local crew is still $8,500 to $12,500. FireCam delivers the same cinematic quality at a fraction of that cost.

That’s not a small-print footnote. That’s a budget reallocation that lets you build a library of 10 stories for what a traditional production charges for three.

>60% average savings compared to a local crewed shoot, without sacrificing quality.

Built When the Old Way Stopped Working

For years, Light & Heat helped brands like Dell capture customer stories at conferences and live events—high-value moments where customers, executives, and partners were already in the same room. It was a proven model for building a library of customer proof that supported launches, sales conversations, and ad campaigns.

Then Dell Tech World was canceled.  Then every other conference. Overnight, the entire model was gone. Most teams turned to Zoom recordings or phone interviews. That solved the logistics problem, but created a new one: the quality didn’t match the brand.

So we built the FireCam—a remote, crewless, 6K storytelling system that ships directly to a customer’s home or office. Dell could keep telling real customer stories without sending a crew, or settling for webcam footage.

The surprise? When life returned to normal after the pandemic, our testimonial capture did not. The FireCam unlocked a better process, as Okta, Drata, Netskope, and dozens of others have discovered.

You secure the customer. We take care of the story.

An Easy Lift

You’ve got a lot on your plate. Trying to coordinate a local shoot and play middleman between the customer, the crew, and the facilities staff, dealing with schedules & insurance requirements, and travel – not to mention customers who work remotely and don’t even have anywhere to shoot!

You find the customer. We take care of the rest.

With the FireCam, all you have to do is send the customer the booking link. They pick a 90-minute call that’s convenient for them – home or office – and you just show up on the call.

From Booking to Finished Story in 4–6 Weeks. Here’s How It Works.

Send your customer a simple booking link for a 90-minute session (or book the recording on their behalf).

2: Shoot The Interview 📹

We help the customer get set up, then we can lead the interview, or you can.

We bake the raw ingredients into a glowing testimonial.

The Problem Is Capturing A Story Worth Sharing.

Most testimonial production starts with logistics. Who is available? Where are they located? What does it cost? How quickly can we get it done?

We start somewhere else entirely: What does your buyer need to hear, feel, and believe before they take the next step?

That question is the difference between a customer interview that checks a box and a customer story that moves a deal forward. FireCam gives you the production quality of a professional shoot, the convenience of a remote process, and the storytelling discipline of a team that knows how to turn a 45-minute interview into a sales-ready asset your marketing, advocacy, and sales teams can actually use.

And unlike vendors who hand you the transcript and expect you to figure out the story—we do that work. We review the footage, identify the strongest narrative thread, and craft the story for you.

Cinematic Quality. Remote Simplicity. Stories Your Sales & Marketing Team Will Actually Use.

This is not “join a video call and hope it looks good.” It’s a remote production system designed to protect the story’s quality.

✅ 6K footage that looks like we sent a crew. Shipped directly to their door, no crew required.

✅ A guided recording experience your customer will thank you for. Customers actually prefer the low-key vibe over a nerve-wracking crew & big lights.

✅ Production quality that holds up in enterprise sales cycles. No pixelated webcam feeds, no apologies for the lighting.

✅ 60% lower cost than a traditional crewed shoot—without sacrificing quality.

✅ A process built specifically for B2B customer stories—not repurposed from consumer video tools or video conference tech.

✅ We tell the story. You don’t have to. We review the raw footage, identify the narrative, and build the story – without dragging you into the weeds. (Like getting your hands dirty? We have an awesome collaboration tool that our clients absolutely love!)

✅ A finished asset, not raw footage—a 2.5-minute story and a 30-second social cut, branded and ready to deploy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the FireCam different from a Zoom testimonial?

A Zoom recording looks like a Zoom recording and does not convey the video is a valuable asset. FireCam looks like you sent a crew, because the quality is that good. The FireCam system captures high-quality 6K footage and gives your customer a guided recording experience, so the final story feels polished, credible, and brand-worthy.

Do our customers need technical experience?

No. The FireCam arrives with simple setup instructions, and Light & Heat guides the customer through everything during the session. They only need a laptop and 90 minutes.

What’s the process like from start to finish?

Step 1: Secure The Customer
Find the customer who’s ready to tell the story. Send them a simple booking link, or book the recording on their behalf. No back-and-forth. No coordination overhead.

Step 2: Ship The FireCam
We ship the FireCam kit directly to their home or office. It arrives in a carry-on-sized case 2 days before the interview with simple setup instructions. Your customer only needs a laptop.

Step 3: Guide The Recording
We spend the first part of the session helping your customer get comfortable—right angle, right light, right energy. Then we guide the interview so their answers feel clear, natural, and story-driven. Your team can join or let us lead. Either way, we shape the narrative around what your buyer needs to hear.

Step 4: Return The FireCam
A pre-printed FedEx return label is included in the kit. Once the interview is over, they just need to stick it on the top of the case. Then we’ll schedule a FedEx pickup at their location.

Step 5: Craft The Story
After the footage comes back, we create the paper edit and shape the strongest narrative. Once you approve the paper edit, we polish the final video with your branding. Every FireCam testimonial includes a 2.5-minute customer story and a 30-second social cut.

Step 6: Tell The World
Use the final story across sales enablement, landing pages, customer marketing, paid campaigns, social, partner marketing, launch assets, nurture sequences, and internal team alignment.

How much time does the customer need to commit?

Plan for a 90-minute session. The first portion covers setup, framing, and small adjustments. The rest is the interview. Most customers tell us it was easier than they expected.

Who leads the interview?

We can or you can. Whatever you prefer!. We know how to shape the conversation around the story your buyer needs to hear. Either way, we make sure the narrative lands and may throw in a few follow-up questions at the end.

Who leads the interview?

Light & Heat leads the interview by default. We know how to shape the conversation around the story your buyer needs to hear. If your team wants to lead, we’ll support. Either way, we make sure the narrative lands.

What do we receive?

Every FireCam testimonial includes a polished 2.5-minute customer story and a 30-second social cut. Branded motion graphics and additional cutdowns can be added depending on the package.

Do you find the story, or do we have to?

We tell the story. After the interview, we review all the footage, identify the strongest narrative thread, and build a paper edit for your approval. You don’t need to watch hours of raw footage or tell us which clips to use. That’s our job.

Can we use FireCam for multiple customers?

Yes, and it’s where FireCam really shines. Teams that build a library of stories across industries, personas, product lines, and use cases get significantly more mileage from their investment. The 5×, 10×, and 15× packages are built exactly for this.

What if we need an on-site crew?

Light & Heat also offers FireCrew worldwide for situations where on-site production is the better fit. FireCrew starts at $6,995 per testimonial and includes an on-location interview, 2.5-minute story, and 30-second social cut.

How long does the process take?

Most FireCam testimonial projects take approximately 4–6 weeks from recording to delivery, depending on scheduling, shipping, and approval timing.

Is FireCam right for us?

FireCam is built for B2B teams that need high-quality customer proof without the cost, complexity, or scheduling lift of sending a crew to every customer. It’s especially strong for customer marketing, advocacy, partner marketing, sales enablement, and product marketing teams. If you’re not sure, reach out; we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s the right fit.

Can we use the FireCam for non-testimonial shoots?

Absolutely! The FireCam has been used for webinars, product launches, podcasts, and more. What do you have in mind?

Can we use the FireCam internationally?

Due to customs fees, the FireCam is not available outside of the U.S. and Canada. However, we shoot with FireCrew worldwide.
